1. Methodology
The Carblah Index is generated from Carblah's aggregated dataset of publicly available customer reviews relating to UK automotive dealerships. Each dealership's score reflects an aggregated sentiment rating derived from the reviews available at the time of analysis.
The Index does not assess operational performance, compliance, financial standing, or service quality. It is a numerical summary of sentiment indicators derived from publicly available review content, not an evaluation or judgement made by Carblah.
Dealership scores may change over time as new reviews are published and the dataset is refreshed.
2. Data Sources
The dataset used to generate the Carblah Index is compiled from publicly available customer reviews hosted on Google and Trustpilot. Carblah does not create, edit, or moderate these reviews. All sentiment indicators are derived from the text and ratings provided by reviewers on these independent platforms.
3. How Sentiment Is Calculated
Carblah uses natural‑language processing (NLP) techniques to analyse the text contained within publicly available customer reviews. Each review is processed to identify the overall sentiment expressed by the reviewer, based on the language used within the review text.
For each dealership, individual sentiment scores are aggregated and combined with additional indicators such as review recency, responsiveness, complaint ratios, and trend patterns. These components are weighted within a consistent framework to produce a single sentiment score at the time of analysis.
The sentiment calculation is automated and data‑driven. Carblah does not manually adjust individual reviews or sentiment outcomes.
4. Disclaimer
This Index is provided for general information only. It represents an aggregated sentiment score derived from publicly available customer reviews and should not be interpreted as a statement of fact about the quality, conduct, or performance of any dealership.
Carblah does not alter, edit, moderate, or verify the content of individual reviews. We do not endorse or criticise any dealership, and no conclusions should be drawn beyond the sentiment indicators present in the underlying data.
Nothing in this Index is intended to harm the reputation of any business. If a dealership believes that the data associated with it is inaccurate or outdated, we welcome contact so that we can review and, where appropriate, update the information.
5. Data Accuracy & Limitations
- The dataset reflects the publicly available review information at the time of extraction.
- Review counts, ratings, and sentiment indicators may change as new reviews are published.
- Dealerships with fewer reviews may appear disproportionately high or low due to limited sample size.
- Carblah does not edit, moderate, or verify the content of individual reviews.
- Reviews may not represent the full customer base of any dealership.
The Index should be viewed as a broad indicator of sentiment within publicly available review data, not a definitive measure of dealership performance.
6. Corrections & Right to Reply
We are committed to accuracy and fairness. If any dealership believes that the data associated with it is incorrect, incomplete, or outdated, we invite them to contact us. We will review any concerns promptly and update the dataset or Index where appropriate.
