"Owners praise the Fiesta Mk8 for its engaging driving experience, responsive engines, and reliability. Running costs and fuel efficiency are strong points, while most are satisfied with equipment levels. However, some find the ride a bit firm and rear seat space limited. Digital integration and infotainment could be improved, and practicality is more suited to individuals or small families. Overall, a fun and dependable small car appreciated by UK drivers."

The car is terrific fun to drive, with the chassis exhibiting a scrappy yet eager attitude and always offering endless adjustability. The limited-slip differential violently drags the car out of the tightest corners, making it a devastating back-road champion. The engine - while featuring some three-cylinder foibles such as a heavy flywheel and less top-end power - is very characterful and makes a mean grunt from 3500rpm onwards. It will also easily return 50mpg on a sensible motorway run. The car is generously equipped with toys such as heated windscreen, seats and steering wheel, auto wipers and lights, power folding mirrors, pano roof etc. The B&O sound system is great, if not mindblowing. The ride is firm as you'd expect in a hot hatch, but it settles well at high speed and does not cause fatigue on long journeys.
Being based on a regular Fiesta, the car can feel a bit too 'normal' and doesn't quite have the same special sense of occasion that a Mini does. Some nice ambient lighting or more unique ST styling touches would go a long way. It takes a surprisingly large amount of engine oil for a 1.5l (6.1 litres), which can drive up servicing costs. The exhaust valve is known to rattle, and rear seat space is quite cramped for the class of car. Launch control is a bit of a gimmick on a front-wheel drive car. Infotainment can sometimes be slow to respond.
A fantastic everyday-usable driver's car, assuming you can live with the firm ride and modest rear space. The cars are proving to be mechanically sound and are ridiculously easy to live with. Economy and maintenance are not much worse than a regular Fiesta, but the driving fun factor is orders of magnitude ahead. It won't win many 'stand out from the crowd' points, but if your main priority is having a car that puts a grin on your face whilst remaining usable, it's hard to do much better.

It’s very nippy for a 1 litre and it’s been incredibly reliable.
The sat nav doesn’t recognise new build estates, even built years ago, so I find it difficult to navigate to see some friends (the sat nav says they live in a field).
It’s been great, I love it. It hasn’t been the cheapest to run as I had an air con leak last summer which cost a lot to fix, but I’m very happy with the car.

For a 1l, it's extremely nippy but is very fuel efficient. I've had this car 7 years which is by far the longest I've ever owned a car. I also really love that shade of blue.
I'd love to have a little more room with my children's car seats in. I'm comfortable driving or as a passenger, but someone taller would really struggle with two rear facing car seats in the back. Saying that, it is a small car and it fits the car seats comfortably so I probably shouldn't complain.
I love it. It's my second Fiesta and I don't regret buying it.
