It was our first EV and is a decent all rounder. Was very impressed fo the space inside the car compared to outside. Drives nicely and is simple to use.
We had major issues after a software upgrade which resulted in the car being sent to Exeter (from near Manchester). We did get a hire car through VW for the entire period.
It suits the brief as a good family runaround and occasional use as to go longer distances. It has had some issues, and occasionally we still can’t get in it without setting the alarm off!! All that aside, it is the only vehicle I’ve ever lengthened the lease agreement because it does the basics extremely well.

The noise the windows make when they fully close - it’s so VW!
The gear selector - twisting it to select gears is naff, why not just have it as a stalk?
100% recommend, especially on lease for £275 per month inc. VAT!

The quietness and its practicality.
The ID.3 is a great car, might go for Cupra Born next…
This a great car and ideal if you’re thinking about converting to an electric vehicle. I can’t believe how much we must have spent on petrol in the past on previous vehicles. Great and easy to charge and fantastic to know that you can drive in ULEV bus lanes and major towns and cities. Be prepared for 2030!

It's very a very comfortable car to use, has excellent interior space.
The perceived interior quality is lacking, but that also applied to the Golf 8 we had before it.
Very satisfied with it. It's been so good we plan on keeping for the duration of it's battery warranty (8 years) and not changing it until then (service plan already purchased & extended warranty will get purchased once it's 3 years old). Normally we would never keep a car longer than 3 years. It probably demonstrates EV's feel more like a high quality domestic appliance that will only get replaced when you need to (like a dishwasher).
