"Owners love the comfort and spacious cabin, praising its reliability and value. The car is appreciated for its attractive looks and practicality. However, some find the infotainment system frustrating and feel the advanced tech is not always user-friendly. Opinions on performance and efficiency vary, and boot space may be tight for bulkier items. Overall, the XC40 Mk1 stands out for comfort and practicality, though tech features divide opinion."

It is really comfortable, and the cabin space is great for larger individuals like myself.
The infotainment system only works seems to connect to my phone 50% of the time - it is really frustrating
I tested many compact SUVs and this was by far my favourite. If you want something fun an racey don't buy this car, it's safe, comfortable and reliable.

Almost nothing. It thinks it is very clever but is often wrong, especially in relation to the speed warnings. It spots phantom speed limit signs e.g. 5 mph, but fails to read national speed limit signs. Very confusing.
Remove most of the electronic assistance for a start. Include a proper printed handbook. Currently it is on the screen and it is almost impossible to look up the item you are trying to find.
I wish we had never leased it, we are now stuck with it for three years. I hoped it would grow on me but it hasn't. I will be glad to see the back When the pressures were reduced to the recommended figures it was a little better. It was only when our daughter was fiddling with the touch screen menu and pressed a button the ride became acceptable. My Nissan X-Trail is more comfortable. My wife has a 4 wheel walker which is a real trial to get into the boot, there is more boot space in my 1971 Morris Traveller!
